Supplier Diversity

About

The purpose of the Supplier Diversity Chapter is to promote and encourage sustainable procurement practices globally, with a specific focus on working with diverse-owned and social enterprises. We aim to educate, inspire, and engage procurement professionals and stakeholders across various channels on the role procurement can play to drive positive change.

Support procurement functions to drive positive (social, environmental and economic) impact from the supplier base by building a community of like-minded professionals and becoming a reference of best practices.

  • promoting awareness, discussing good/best practices among the Chapter members, influencing corporate strategies, and offering a set of measures that can be adopted by procurement functions
  • developing relationships and working together with external organizations (profit and/or non-profit oriented) and even regulatory bodies
  • collaborating with some of the other SPP Chapters (e.g. regionals, industry)
  • organizing at least 3 open events per year aside from WSPD
  • interacting with Chapter members via SPP channels in social media and other platforms
